Please Help! Ten Points! How can I remove scotch tape?

Okay, I was watching my little sister and it was raining. She wanted to play hopscotch and my mom told me to use some masking tape to make it before she left. We didn't have any masking tape, so I stupidly used scotch brand "invisible" tape in matte finish. My mom says I have to figure out how to get rid of it without ruining the floor. BTW, the floor is fake hardwood, I think it's laminate, and it is really light tan colored, if it makes a difference. I tried peeling it off, but it isn't working very well. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
