When does his pay start PLEASE HELP.?

My husband left for ft knox KY on the 29th his recruiter here told us I'd receive a deposit in our account on teh 15th of teh following month. Now I'm reading that it can take 6 weeks to get a deposit. I'm here with no money and no help with two small children and i know if my husband would have known this he wouldnt' have joined (he joined for financial reasons as well as to protect and serve). I can't get ahold of him either to tell him I'm not getting any money nor do i want to distract him. Any help would be graeful. and much appreciated.
