The Sociological paradigm that would be most useful in investigating the issue of censorship is?

I vote for social conflict theory, which explains how groups compete for scarce resources. In society, the strongest groups win out in the competitive struggle for money and power. Social change is fueled by conflict between the rich and powerful and poor and less powerful. Conflict theory would say that the groups in power, who are in the best position to control the flow of information, use censorship to keep the poor and downtrodden from competing on a level playing field. In modern society, knowledge is power. If the info is kept away from you by censorship, you have fewer resources to get your share of the goods.
