If Don't Ask/ Don't Tell gets repealed and the people who think it's an evil policy suddenly see that?

gays are getting kicked out of the military left and right (like they were before DADT) will they still think it was an 'evil policy' ? And will they take that as a clue that maybe just thinking whatever the herd thinks is a bad way to go ?
